Backwell Tennis Club’s annual championships weekend took place on 9 and 10 September. It was a great opportunity for club and community to come together and enjoy some great tennis.
The weather across the weekend had something for everyone…..heat, rain, thunder and lightning. Despite challenges with the weather, 22 finals were held over the two days. With matches from the under 8s to the over 50s, there was plenty of tennis to enjoy.
As always, great community spirit was readily apparent, with everyone enjoying the free barbecue and refreshments.
